Dr. Sherfey trained with professional sports physicans, where he treated high-level college and pro athletes from the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox, to name a few. His background also consists of working with two of the best known joint replacement surgeons in the world -- Dr. Cecil Rorabeck and Dr. Bob Bourne.

Through his extensive training, he is experienced in all the latest techniques of minimally invasive and computer assisted joint replacement surgery, as well as various alternative replacement options.

It is Dr. Sherfey's goal to help you return to your full potential and enjoy an active life, whether you require joint replacement surgery or a more conservative approach.

Dr. Justin Sherfey is on staff at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California; Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, California; Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, California; Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, California; Ridgecrest Regional Hospital in Ridgecrest, California; and the Antelope Valley Surgical Institute (AVSI) in Lancaster, California.

He earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California; completed a four-year orthopedic residency and a one-year rotating internship at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan; and he added another year of adult reconstruction and joint replacement fellowship training at the Univeristy of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He also holds a BS degree in Zoology from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.

Dr. Sherfey has been published in The Journal of Arthroplasty and has received recognition from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

He is currently a member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), American Medical Association (AMA) and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).

Dr. Sherfey and his family enjoy many outdoor and sporting activities including volleyball, basketball, golf, mountain biking, snow skiing, camping and fishing.
