AVORS Medical Group Press Release:  Dr. John Kurylo

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AVORS Medical Group Welcomes Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Dr. John C. Kurylo Beginning September 1

Expanded trauma services will allow more Antelope Valley residents to receive specialized orthopedic care close to home.

LANCASTER, Calif. — AVORS Medical Group is proud to announce that fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon Dr. John C. Kurylo will join the organization on September 1, significantly expanding access to advanced orthopedic trauma care for patients throughout the Antelope Valley.

The addition of Dr. Kurylo represents another important milestone in AVORS Medical Group's continued investment in bringing high quality specialty care to the region. Patients suffering from fractures, traumatic injuries, complex orthopedic conditions, and post-traumatic reconstruction will now have access to nationally trained expertise without the need to travel outside the Antelope Valley for many specialized services.

Dr. Kurylo specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of fractures, traumatic musculoskeletal injuries, and complex reconstructive procedures. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center before pursuing a prestigious Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, one of the nation's premier trauma training centers. Throughout his career, he has cared for patients with some of the most challenging orthopedic injuries, including serving on the orthopedic team that treated victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

"At AVORS Medical Group, our mission has always been to expand access to exceptional specialty care for our community," said Joseph Hurley, Chief Executive Officer of AVORS Medical Group. "The addition of Dr. Kurylo strengthens our orthopedic service line and allows many patients with traumatic injuries to receive expert care closer to home rather than traveling long distances during one of the most difficult times in their lives. We are proud to welcome a surgeon of Dr. Kurylo's caliber to the Antelope Valley."

As one of the region's fastest-growing multispecialty medical groups, AVORS Medical Group continues to invest in physician recruitment, advanced surgical services, and comprehensive musculoskeletal care. Dr. Kurylo's expertise complements the organization's growing orthopedic program and reinforces its commitment to delivering comprehensive care throughout every stage of recovery.

"I believe every patient deserves compassionate, individualized care and a clear understanding of their treatment options," said Dr. Kurylo. "I'm excited to join AVORS Medical Group and look forward to serving the Antelope Valley by providing advanced orthopedic trauma care that helps patients heal, recover, and return to the lives they enjoy."

With Dr. Kurylo joining the practice, local residents will have increased access to specialized fracture care, trauma surgery, complex reconstructive procedures, and comprehensive orthopedic treatment within their own community. This expansion supports AVORS Medical Group's long-term vision of ensuring patients can receive outstanding specialty care locally while reducing unnecessary travel outside the Antelope Valley.

Dr. Kurylo will begin seeing patients on September 1.
